Lake of Ladoga is one of the most beautiful European landscapes. The lake is located on the border of Leningrad region and Karelia republic. Its territory with the islands is 18, 000 square kilometres. Its length is 200 kilometres, the width is 83 kilometres. The average depth is 50 metres, the maximum depth is 223 metres.

Mineralization n The average water mineralization in the lake is 56 milligram per litre. Though the water is yellowish or greenish, it is very clean and clear. Such kind of water is good for health.

ICY FAIRE-TALE People who would like to enjoy sparkling snow and various icy figures growing out from the lake should certainly come there. It becomes cold here in November. The ice melts only at the end of May.

Islands One can have a wonderful possibility to have a boat trip and admire high waves of the rebellious lake. You can also see numerous islands /more than 650/ on your way. They are mostly rocky and are up to 70 metres
