Tornado Reaction Plan Tornado WATCH is when conditions are favorable for a tornado Be prepared to take shelter Tornado WARNING is when a tornado has actually been spotted Signaled by 3 -5 minute steady tone Take shelter immediately
PPE ISSUE Each student will receive one lab coat and face shield to be used throughout the course Students are to use disposable latex gloves for labs that require the use of chemicals or patient specimens
Proper use of PPE Place writing materials at your bench Wash your hands thoroughly Receive lab coat from instructor ensure it is the correct size fully extend sleeves button lab coat completely ensure collar protects neck properly
Proper use of PPE Receive your goggles or face shield from instructor fit goggles snugly at the bridge of your nose adjust headband of face shield to fit snugly over your ears clean goggles/face shield if necessary
Proper use of PPE Size yourself with a pair of latex gloves Fit one hand first; if it fits, get another glove Don gloves so that both hands and wrists are covered When you are in full PPE, report to instructor for evaluation
