Test Tube n May be heated n Holding small amounts of chemicals n For small reactions
Wire Gauze Spreads out the heat produced by a Bunsen burner n Can place a beaker on top n
Test Tube Holder n DUHHHHH It holds a test tube
Test Tube Rack Holds test tubes in a vertical position. n Allows for clear sight. n Drying rack n
Ring Stand n Multi-purpose, mostly used as a support to heat chemicals and hold burets.
Ring Clamp n One side clamps to ring stand. Place wire gauze on ring and it will hold beakers and flasks for heating. Can hold small beakers or funnels.
Test Tube Clamp n Used to clamp onto ring stand to hold test tube.
Funnel n n Holds filter paper for filtering solutions. Transferring liquids to smaller narrow necked containers.
Crucible Tongs n Pick up and hold small hot items like a crucible.
Forceps n Used to pick up small items.
Bunsen Burner (& Striker) n n n Controls release of natural gas for burning. Tubing connects to gas source. Striker with flint is used to ignite the burner (or matches).
Electronic Balance n Measures mass in grams
Rubber Stopper n Covers test tube for mixing
Scoopula n Used to transfer solids from one container to another
Test Tube Brush n Cleans out a test tube
Thermometer n Takes temperature (in Celsius)
