Labels, Create Voltage Label If you are viewing this as a slide show, continually hit Enter or Space Bar to see the slide objects. Usage: The Create Voltage Label application is used to create voltage labels and place them on metal routing lines or on wells for devices. These are often used in advanced verification checks to insure proper voltage related spacings. or Click on SKILLCAD in the Cadence tool bar. Select Create Voltage Label or Voltage Label. Click on the Label Functions icon on the SKILLCAD tool bar. This brings up the SKILLCAD Create Voltage Label form. Then select Label Functions.

If you specify -1, the label height will be sized to fit within the individual objects. Here you can specify the label justification. Here you can specify the font to use for the labels. Here you can specify if you want the label to be attached or un-attached to the object. Here you select the layer for the labels. Here you enter the suffix for the label name. If you leave it blank, no suffix will be added to the label. Here you enter the prefix for the label name. If you leave it blank, no prefix will be added to the label. Here you can specify the label orientation. Here you can select the property for the main section of the label. The options are: layer. Name, where the label contains the layer name of the selected object; net~>name, where the label contains the connectivity net name on the object; and N/A, where nothing is added to the label name for this field.

Select layer. Name for the property. Enter _5 V for the suffix. Select these two metal segments. Leave the prefix blank. Click on Apply. The labels will be generated and attached to the two pieces of metal.

Select net~>name for the property. Make the suffix blank. Select these three metal segments. Enter Cell. A for the prefix. Click on Apply. The labels will be generated and attached to the three pieces of metal.

Name for the property. Enter _90 V for the suffix. Select this object. Enter Supply_ for the prefix. Select Un-Attached. The label will not be attached to the object. Click on Apply. The label will be generated, but will not be attached to the object, because we selected Un. Attached.
