Topic: Lab Equipment Objective: Students will be able to • Identify and describe the use of 10 laboratory equipment items • HW: pick up worksheet

Make an answer sheet • Your name and # in the upper right corner • Title: Lab Equipment • Date and period • Letters A, B, etc. on every other line

Activity • • Performance test on safe practices You will be tested on: Wearing goggles properly Wearing apron Following instructions Moving in orderly way through the stations Handling equipment carefully

Prepare • Clear everything off the tables • Keep a pen and the answer sheet • All your other belongings go on the counter by the windows • Push stools under the tables • Line up according to my instructions • Quiet down

Gear up • Receive goggles and apron • Put them on properly • Tie hair • Line up again

Stations You will move trough the stations in pairs 2 minutes at each station Identify the equipment at each station Write the name of each item by the corresponding letter on your answer sheet • Leave it blank if you are unable to name it • Don’t forget that this is a safety test • •

Clean up • • • Line up again, stay quiet Take off apron and fold it One person at a time: Place apron in the box Place goggles in the goggle cabinet Go back in line, stay quiet
