Operazione BTF Il commissioning della BTF è stato completato nel 2002 e opera regolarmente con gli utenti dall’inizio del 2003. Il fascio è fornito 24 ore/24 (efficienza del 96%) tranne che durante l’operazione degli esperimenti al collider DAFNE. In questo caso la BTF deve operare in parasitaggio con un duty cycle che non potrebbe eccedere il 45% a causa delle iniezioni continue negli anelli principali (topping-up). Per ovviare a questa limitazione, nel 2004 è stata realizzata una transfer-line dedicata e nel 2006 è stato installato un alimentatore veloce pulsato che permette di selezionare ciascuno dei 50 bunch/secondo del Linac. Questo a portato l’efficienza complessiva della linea BTF al 90%.
