• A conjunction joins together two or more ideas in our writing to make one sentence. • This is a bit like a junction joins together two or more roads
• For example Joey went shopping. He didn’t buy anything. Becomes……. Joey went shopping but he didn’t buy anything. Tell the person you’re with; which word is the conjunction?
• That’s right. The conjunction was but Joey went shopping but he didn’t buy anything.
