GCSE PE and OCR Sport? In PE, we always run an exam option, however, some years we are able to offer 2 different exam options. This depends entirely on the number of students who opt to take our subject at this level. If there are enough students who opt in, we run 2 different courses. If there are not enough students, we choose one of the courses described in this presentation. If we run both courses, PE staff will place students onto the course that our knowledge and data suggests will be most suitable for each pupil. If we are only able to run one exam course, the choice of course will be based on the knowledge and data that our PE staff have of the list of pupils who have opted, and a ‘best fit’ decision is made. Please be aware, that if you opt into ‘PE/Sport’, you are happy with the decisions that the PE staff make, regarding the course/route that is selected for your child.
