KS 4 English and Maths programme 2020/21 English and Maths Networks – proposals for 2021 ‘Development’ sessions • Monthly sessions 1 -2 hours (online at least in the first instance) • Chair and network members set a schedule of themes to be covered, to include priorities for curriculum development, subject leadership and classroom practice ‘Support and Challenge’ sessions • A second session each month, ideal to bring in additional colleagues • 1 or 2 schools per session opt to give an account of their subject improvement work, maybe selecting to bring a challenging issue. Network colleagues then provide a level of peer review and solution-focussed discussion. Both networks to receive 4 days/month of specialist subject support Although this is an increased work-plan, it is hoped by holding shorter online sessions and extending the invitation to additional colleagues, this is a useful and positive proposal
