Komi Cuisine Komi people widely use dishes from meat, fish, potatoes and flour in the national kitchen. Any meat is used : beef, mutton, pork, meat of an elk or a bear. The Komi love dried meat too.

Drinks The most popular drinks are kvass, birch juice, sur and tea.
Vegetables The most popular vegetables are potatoes, cabbage, onions, radishes, turnips.
Cakes and pies The most famous Komi cakes are fish and meat pies, pancakes, shangi and pirozhki.
Komi shangi Initially for a dish they used as a stuffing sour cream, different types of flour, pea porridge. Today mashed potatoes, cottage cheese or porridges can be used.
