Kingdom Come: Game of Thrones (Part II) Matthew 24: 15; Daniel 2: 31 -45; 7: 1 -28

“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? ” (Matthew 24: 3)

15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) (Matthew 24: 15)

* Put your confidence in God’s word. 8 “Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, 9 remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose, ’ (Isaiah 46: 8 -10)

* Trust that the God who is sovereign over the nations is also sovereign over your life. 20 “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. 21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22 he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. (Daniel 2: 19 -23)

* Trust that the God who is sovereign over the nations is also sovereign over your life. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. (Acts 17: 26 -27)

* Trust that the God who is sovereign over the nations is also sovereign over your life. The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. (Proverbs 16: 9)

All Things Are Not Yet Fulfilled * It was not suddenly destroyed as depicted in the visions. * No counterpart to the ten toes and the ten horns and the little horn that raised up in their midst. Horns being a symbol of authority or kingship. * It was not replaced with God's Kingdom in Christ filling the whole earth.

19 “Then I desired to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the rest, exceedingly terrifying, with its teeth of iron and claws of bronze, and which devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet, 20 and about the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn that came up and before which three of them fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, and that seemed greater than its companions. (Daniel 7: 19 -20)

4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. ” (Daniel 12: 4)

The Last Earthly Kingdom and King * The kingdom will be strong, but divided. * The kingdom will have ten divisions and kings. * The kingdom will be characterized by mixed offspring. * The kingdom will rule over the whole earth. * The kingdom will be taken over by one king to rule over them all.

The Last Earthly Kingdom and King * The final king will blaspheme God. * The final king will war against the saints. * The final king will desire to change the times and the law. * The final king will demand worship of himself. * The final king will not have the desire for woman. * The final king will be empowered by and worship another god. * The final king will have a patronage system and will divide the land for a price (wage). * The final king will come with a great delusion.

We combat deception by the truth 31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ” (John 8: 31 -32)

The Last Earthly Kingdom and King * The final kingdom and king are temporary. * The final kingdom and king will be destroyed by Jesus. 11 “I looked then because of the sound of the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. Daniel 7: 11 Revelation 19 -22

The Last Earthly Kingdom and King In Revelation

2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer. (Revelation 6: 2)

1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. 3 One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. (Revelation 13: 1 -8)

4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it? ” 5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13: 1 -8)

7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. (Revelation 13: 1 -8)

1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. (Revelation 12: 1 -9)

4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. 5 She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne, 6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1, 260 days. (Revelation 12: 1 -9)

7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. (Revelation 12: 1 -9)

The Kingdom of God in Christ

The Kingdom of God in Christ * Jesus will return physically to the earth. * Jesus will destroy the final kingdom and king. * Jesus will set up the Kingdom of God. * Jesus will extend the Kingdom of God to all the earth. * Jesus will set up an everlasting Kingdom. (Revelation 19 -22)

15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, (Revelation 6: 15 -16)

3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation. ” 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, (2 Peter 3: 3 -9)

6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (2 Peter 3: 3 -9)

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ” (Matthew 4: 17)

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. (Colossians 3: 1 -4)
