The main idea of the unit The unit talks about future plans such as travelling plans. Two people are travelling to seven countries. They are going to England, Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. l Different means of transportation: l coach- bus – plane – train – car – l ship ( boat ) – bike – motorbike l

Vocabulary l l l - overnight (n): during the night - check in (v) : to arrive at a hotel and give your personal details - bus tour (n): to make a tour by bus - ferry (n): a boat that makes a short journey - boat cruise (n): a journey on a boat for pleasure - auto route (n): the road for cars - countryside (n): where there are villages and fields - sightseeing (n): visiting historic places such as the Tower of London - Eiffel Tower (n): the famous iron tower in Paris - safari (n): a trip when you can take photos , watch and hunt animals - rucksack (n): a bag you carry on your back when travelling

Grammar : Describing future plans l There are two structures used to describe future plans. 1 - Present Continuous : is/are/am + verb + ing They are travelling to London next week. They are not travelling to London next week. ( Negative) Are they travelling to London next week? ( question) 2 - is/ are / am + going to + infinitive : They are going to travel to London next week. They aren’t going to travel to London next week. (Negative) Are they going to travel to London next week? ( question )
