DEPLOYMENT COVER OFFICER is Recommended. � Communicate to everybody on the scene and communications that a Bean Bag is present and about to be fired � Follow firing procedures and fire less lethal rounds until the suspect submits or the rounds have no effect. � Have a plan to take the suspect into custody quickly before the suspect regains his/her composure. DEPLOYMENT COMMANDS � Verbalize/Order � Deploy Command suspect to lie on the ground and follow commands or you will deploy bean bags. If the suspect does not comply with your orders Yell our “Firing Bean Bags” if permissible. Reload and acquire a different target area if the suspect does not submit. Reassess the suspect’s actions Fire again and repeat the sequence until the suspect submits. REMEMBER each round must be justified!!!! LESS LETHAL � FIRING

PRACTICAL AND TEST PHASE � *Upon successful completion of the practical test, each officer will be issued (4) four Less Lethal Rounds* LESS LETHAL Officers will be given (4) four less lethal rounds � Officers will test the Less Lethal Shotgun functions. � Make the Less Lethal Shotgun “Patrol Ready” � Properly Unload the Less lethal Shotgun � Make the Less lethal Shotgun “Patrol Ready” � Officer will fire 2 rounds and provide commands “Firing Bean Bags” each time and will load the third round into the chamber. � Officer will demonstrate properly unloading the less Lethal Shotgun. �
