Week 2 • English - Instructional writing. • Maths – Shapes and rides. Shape of Disney characters • Art – Collecting material for building your theme park • Geography – France, Capital cities of the world. • PHSE – Safety.
Week 3 • English - Persuasive writing – advertising your theme park. • Maths – Measuring and weight. Eg. Luggage sizes, food etc. • Art – Continue making theme park model. • History – The history of theme parks, specifically Disney Paris. • PE – ‘Disney on Ice’ – Dancing and Movements.
Week 4 • English – Sequencing stories. Different Disney stories and recipes. • Maths – Time • Art – Painting the model theme park (looking at prime colours and use of colours) • Geography – Rivers (Paris).
Week 5 • English – Letter writing. Writing to their favourite character. • Maths – Coordinates on maps (Theme park specific) • History - identify differences between ways of life at different time (animation). • ICT – Using search engines to research about Disney.
Week 6 • English – Presentations of theme parks and theme park design. Comparison. • Maths – Data handling, graphs and charts. • Geography – Landmarks (Paris).
