WHAT IS ONE-TO-ONE CORRESPONDENCE? One-to-One Correspondence means that there is a pair for each thing you have For example: If you have five cookies and five friends - each friend will have one cookie

LET ME SHOW YOU You have 10 teddy bears. These teddy bears want to go to the movies. But before they can even get to the movies, they need to get on a bus. This bus can seat 10 friends. Let's get them on the bus…

LET’S SEE WHAT JUST HAPPENED… LET’S TAKE A LOOK INSIDE THE BUS

THERE IS A VERY IMPORTANT RULE TO ONE-TO-ONE CORRESPONDENCE When using One-to-One Correspondence you can never put two things to one thing This means our teddy bears CAN NOT sit together in one chair Only one bear for one chair

NOW THAT OUR BEARS ARE READY FOR THE MOVIES… LET’S GO!

WE’RE HERE! NOW WE HAVE TO SIT… There are 10 seats in the movie theater, let’s take a seat

WAIT! SOMETHING’S NOT RIGHT… WHAT HAPPENED? Remember our rule? Teddy bears can not share a seat. They have to have their own seat every time!

THAT LOOKS GREAT! Now that you’re a professional at One-to-One Correspondence, it’s your turn!
