Kindergarten Learning Choice Menu Week of April 20 -24, 2020 Choose 3 activities a day. Complete 12 activities by April 24 th. Color in the box once the activity is completed. Be sure you are watching the Maple. Kteam Youtube videos! Math 10 minutes on IXL Math Count how many steps from your front door to your bedroom. Count how many steps from the kitchen to the bathroom. Pick 2 other places to count steps. Challenge: add together the number of steps. 10 minutes on IXL Math Reading Writing Fundations/Sight Words Specials https: //classroommag azines. scholastic. co m/support/learnatho me. html Pick a zoo animal and write 1 -3 sentences telling about the animal and then draw a picture to match your words. Write 2 sentences using sight words. Example: I like my friends. They are nice to me. Art See class dojo for Assignment if you are able. If not find 3 objects to set up and draw. Can be inside or outside objects rt: Read a book from Tumble. Books Pick a farm animal and write 1 -3 sentences telling about the animal and then draw a picture to match your words. For example: Giraffes are tall. They have a very long neck. They eat leaves from trees. Write your letters in shaving cream sight words or sand. CHALLENGE: Write 5 CVC words. Listen to a favorite song. Be sure to check for a capital at the beginning, spaces between words, and ending punctuation. Read a book a outside Pick an ocean animal and write 1 -3 sentences telling about the animal and then draw a picture to match your words. Sight words should be spelled correctly!! Use two colors of paper to cut 100 strips and make a paper chain. Switch colors every time you get to 10. Count the links by ones and tens when it is completed. Read a book and draw your favorite character Grab a collection of toys(up to 10). Line your toys up in order from biggest to smallest. Read a book and draw your favorite part and share it with your teacher Go outside and use your senses to explore your yard. Then write some details about the grass, sky, flowers, or whatever you saw. Illustrate your work and read it aloud to a parent or sibling Think about what you know about a habitat: the ocean, forrest, dessert, etc. and write 1 -3 sentences about that habitat. When you return, make a list of animals you saw on your walk. Alternative: Make a list of springtime animals. Art: Draw me a picture of your Favorite Toy or Toys. Have parents share picture on Class Dojo or Through e-mail Listen to someone read a story. After they are done reading, identify the problem and solution of the story. Music: Illustrate your work and read it aloud to a parent or sibling. Do a math website of your choice for 15 minutes (IXL, Zern, Splash math) Music: Read your favorite book to someone in your house draw a picture of a flower and label the parts: roots, stem, leaf, flower. Add a sentence and read it aloud to a parent or call if possible and read your work aloud to a grandparent. Choose a word family. Make a list of words in that word family (example: -ug, -at, -in, -op, -ed) PE: Pick a nice day and see if you can hear the birds singing songs! PE: Scrambled eggs and dead bugs Parents play music for the kids to move around and when they stop the music the kids lay on the floor and play they are a dead bug. They love this!!
