Kildare Chilling Company is a privately owned company which operates of an 13 acre site. Kildare Chilling Company supply bone-in, boneless, chilled, frozen beef and lamb products.
Company - History Kildare Chilling Company began processing in September 1967 and is over 46 years in business.
Company - Location Kildare Chilling Company is located on the edge of “The Curragh of Kildare” the centre of some of Irelands best grasslands. The companies central location has easy access to Irelands major ports and airports, a commercial advantage for the distribution of Kildare’s produce to all customers.

Audited yearly against The British Retail Consortium (BRC) Kildare can guarantee product integrity. Bord Bia administer and monitor the Beef and Lamb Quality Assurance Scheme, thus ensuring that it reflects the continued emerging demands of the marketplace.
Company - Traceability Kildare Chilling Co. is a full member of the Bord Bia Quality Assurance Scheme. Under this scheme suppliers must be approved by specially trained farm inspectors. Kildare's own computer system, in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture's AIMS system, ensures full traceability of all product from farm to fork, whether bone in, vacuum packed or frozen.
Company – Food Safety Food safety is of paramount importance to Kildare Chilling Co. Standard Operating procedures ensure best animal welfare and husbandry practices. Processing facilities operate to the highest International Food Safety and Hygiene Standards.
Company – Capacity - Beef Our Beef slaughter hall has a capacity to handle 2, 500 cattle per week. 8 separate controlled chilled rooms have a capacity to hold 1, 600 carcasses, reducing temperatures to less than 7 C in 18 hrs. Our specialised boning hall has the capacity to handle 6, 000 quarters a week. Our cold stores can hold up to 4, 000 tonnes of boneless beef
Company – Capacity – Lamb Our lamb slaughter floor has the capacity for handling 15, 000 lambs per week. We have a quick chill which dry’s and reduces the temperature of the carcase before entering 3 main holding chills which further reduce and maintain the carcase temperature at less than 4 C. Our specialised boning hall has a capacity to handle 10, 000 carcases per week.
