How can you help? • • • Keep an open dialogue with your child’s class teacher Make sure your child goes to bed on time Reading every day and discussing the book with your child Mathletics – 15 minutes everyday – focus on gaps Revise the basics (addition, subtraction, multiplication facts; spelling rules and words) Complete homework Make sure they are in school on time - Early learning sessions (8: 45 -9 am) are extremely beneficial! DO NOT use past SATs papers – not all are linked to the new curriculum Some used for assessment in school – will not provide a true reflection of your child’s ability Don’t stress them out!
