The options process There are three resources to help support you with your options choices; this presentation, an options booklet and your options google form. Make sure you discuss your options with a parent/carer. At the end of the google option form you can ask for a member of staff to contact you to discuss your options choices. Deadline: The deadline for completing the options form is Friday 1 st May.

The English Baccalaureate (Ebacc) The Ebacc is a combination of subjects that are recommended by the government, and other orgnaisations, for young people to study at GCSE. Research by UCL Institute of Education shows that taking the Ebacc enhances prospects for entering further education or employment. To achieve the Ebacc student must study: English Language Mathematics Science (2 x GCSEs) Modern foreign language (French) History or Geography
Who can study Ebacc? Everyone. At Ark Kings we have design the curriculum to ensure all students have the choice to study Ebacc. Students are group within two bands, bands A and B. Band A are typically students from the top two sets. 6
