A sense of belonging during Diwali Can you think about who makes the food and decorations during Diwali? Who do the children make them with? How do you think they feel when they are involved in these preparations/ celebrations?
A sense of belonging during Diwali During this time, making the preparations, there would be a strong sense of belonging, both to their families and the wider Hindu community. The shared activities and shared beliefs would give the sense of belonging. Can you think of some of the activities that you do that give you a sense of belonging- meaning an acceptance in a group e. g. school, clubs, family, friends etc.
