Energy - Major Achievements • Since November 2008 the Methane gas to Power Pilot Plant, financed by the Go. R is connected to the grid and producing 2 MW of power • The foundation stone for a private sector 100 MW methane to power project was laid on 24 th June 2009 (Contour Global), first phase of 25 MW to be online by End 2010, total investment volume: 325 MUSD • In March 2009: 20 MW Heavy Fuel Oil power plant commissioned and on the grid, financed through IDA grant, resulting in the reduction of rental power capacity from 15 MW to 10 MW ______________________________________ Key Infrastructure Projects – Ministry of Infrastructure
