TECHNICAL LIGHTWEIGHT CFS wall panels and trusses weigh less without sacrificing durability; faster and easier installation; Use of FC can achieve reduction in weight from 10% to 95% compared with dense weight concrete; Structural components and foundation cost are greatly reduced due to the lower deadweight of the building, in particular on high-rise projects offering substantial savings.
ACOUSTIC INSULATION Foam Concrete assures improved acoustics and superior sound control as it is being absorbed (especially low frequency noise), not reflected as is the case with dense weight concrete or brick walls; Concrete closes all cavities in the wall structure– no hollow sounds.
THERMAL INSULATION Foam Concrete as In-Fill provides High thermal insulation and its density can be adjusted to comply with the most demanding building codes and regulations.
FIRE RESISTANCE 100% non combustible; Low fire risk; FC filled CFLGS panels and frames offer fire rating of a minimum of 3 hours for a 90 mm thick panel.
ADDED-VALUE INTEGRATION OF SERVICES As panels are designed with the provision of service holes for electrical and water conduits and junction/terminal boxes, there is much convenience for plumbing and electrical installations; Recesses in the floors/ceilings due to the spanned joists allow for fitting mechanical equipment and components such as fan coil units and insulated copper pipes;
STRENGTH Steel is one of the highest strength to weight ratios of any building material; corrosion-resistant; dimensionally stable with ability to withstand wind loads, weathering, water impacts, and interior live and dead loads. FC makes cold formed steel sections stronger with continuous bracing.
PERFORMANCE High Specs Galvanized Steel Grade make it resistant to temperature change, heat or fire especially when these steel channels are covered by Fire Resistant FC.
COMPLEMENTARITY Cold Formed Steel Frames, Joists and trusses offer Load Bearing and structural Walls, Partitions, Floors and Roofs, while the Foam Concrete Infill yields Thermal & Acoustic Insulation and Fire Resistance;
ENERGY SAVINGS Ongoing savings on power / energy costs (air-conditioning and heating) are reduced because high thermal insulation ratings can be achieved.
DURABILITY High Grade Galvanization makes the structure rust resistant; Use of FC as inner fill further protects the steel and provides for a monolithic construction which ensures low maintenance over the lifetime of the building envelope; No cracking or long term movement due to the monolithic structure.
