What is Key Club? K-Kiwanis E-Educated Y-Youth Kiwanis is a GOLBAL organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. It is all about service! Each year Kiwanis as a whole does approximately 150, 000 service projects and raises nearly $100 million for communities, families and projects. Make stay Safe Posters for Return to School Make a poster to hang in the school to promote the following: Social Distancing- stay 6 ft apart, do not congregate, go directly to class Wear a Mask- Show the PROPER way to wear a mask Wash Your Hands-frequently and show PROPER hand washing technique (AT LEAST 20 seconds) Hand Sanitizer- when Washing is NOT possible DUE November 6 th , 2020 Cough Into Elbow

School Wide OUTSIDE Clean up Held on Friday Nov. 6 th , 2020 Meet at the Tennis Courts-2: 30 pm You MUST wear a mask the ENTIRE time We will supply you with plastic gloves and bags Time: 2: 30 -3: 30 pm

Canned Food Drive All Cans Are Due To The School by Nov. 16 th Part 2: Members can collect cans from around their community using grocery bags and notes. Part 1: Each Member of Key Club is required to bring in a minimum of 2 cans Drop off information will be provided closer to the Due date. We will supply you with grocery bags and pretyped notes (you will need to pick up from the main building Office) You will need to staple the notes to the bags Weekend on Nov. 6 th-Nov. 8 th you will place the bags in mailboxes/door handles of the houses in your community. ( The notes will explain that you will come back the following weekend to pick on the donated cans. It will also explain for them to leave them on the porch and you will simply grab them- there will be NO contact. ) The morning of Saturday Nov. 14 th you will return to those house and pick up any cans that are left on the porches. Deliver Cans to the School by Nov. 16 th

Display Case Would be nice to have before we come back to school- so ASAP if possible Display Case- 2 members can work together virtually to create a display to put in the main case by the Main office. The Design will be to Promote Key Club Both members will need to create the design and hash out the details and supplies they will need to make the display. We can help with supplies if you do not have access to them. Both members will need to sign up on Sign Up Genius for Nov. 6 th 2: 15 -3: 15 pm

Sign up for events using Sign Up Genius Links to all events can be found under the Events tab on the Website When you sign up for an event there will be a spot designated for the EVENT COORDINATOR- anyone can sign up for this. However, it comes with the following duties: SEND a Reminder message with the date/due date and times out 1 week prior to the due date or event and send ANOTHER remind message the day before the due date and event. You must show up 5 mins before other members need to be there. YOU ARE “IN CHARGE” Manage Event Sign In/Out Sheet-Make sure all participants are included. Sign Participating Member's Event Logs If you have time during the event, you need to walk around and make sure everyone is doing their job. Take a few pictures of the event and email them to cvhskey@gmail. com

Key Club Member Expectations When you sign up for an event you MUST show up- people are counting on you! If for some reason you cannot fulfill your commitment(this should be minimal) You need to contact the Event Coordinator ASAP! The Event Coordinator will be listed under the event on the events page of our website. Sign In & Out of all Events with Event Coordinator Get your Individual Event Log Signed by all Event Coordinators. Turn in Monthly Wear Key Club Shirt to ALL Key Club Events School Code of Conduct Applies to all Key Club events- clothing, language, You must participate in 2 events per month. Try to sign up for event Coordinator at least once…We know there will be more members than events. Attend ALL Key Club Meetings behavior

T-Shirt Design- We need a Key Club T-Shirt! If you would like to submit a design for the 2020 -2021 Key Club T-shirt please do so to Ms. Armstrong sarmstrong@cvs. k 12. mi. us. Designs are DUE no later than Nov. 6 th 2 pm!
