Pastoral Support • Year 12 are in Tutor Groups, allowing for consistent pastoral support.

Pastoral Support • Year 12 are in Tutor Groups, allowing for consistent pastoral support. • Each student over the course of the year has a number of one-to-one meetings with their tutor. • Tutor group activities are delivered including transition skills for 6 th form, enrichment, PSE and inter-form challenges. • PSE looks at relevant issues such as driving safety, money management and post-18 destinations.

Pastoral Support Year 13 have a Personal Tutor, who they meet once every 2 weeks on a one-to-one basis. This allows students to talk about post-18 plans and progress with studies. There is a strong sense of community with very supportive staff. Student well-being is at the centre of our ethos. There is an “open door” policy with the Head of Sixth Form and each Head of Year for students and parents.

Changes to Post 16 All A Levels are now linear– what does this mean? These are subjects which will be examined IN FULL at the end of the TWO years of study. An AS qualification can be sat at the end of the first year and certificated but if a student continues to the second year, the AS results will be discarded and be replaced by the final linear papers’ results.

Those on the KHS Ski Trip will have their interviews deferred until after half term. • For new students, a reference from your school will be sought on receipt of your application form and an interview arranged for you during April 2020.
