• Fusion Centers are threat-driven and act as an effective framework for prevention, while providing traditional intelligence services specific to investigative case support. As opposed to Emergency Operations Centers- focus on disaster response/recovery efforts (both natural and man-made). • A Fusion Center is not merely a “data warehouse” of federal, state and local law enforcement information. It is a collaboration of agencies providing access to differing levels of information/data, when linked together and analyzed produces actionable intelligence for law enforcement/public safety personnel at all levels. • The Fusion Center “maximizes resources”, the benefit is the collective experience/expertise of all member participants.
