Jo Brand Anna Prendergast Director of Dietary Services & Chris Zouzal Retirement Dietary Supervisor November 2015 2014 Ai DID YOU KNOW: The symbol of the poppy is derived from, “In Flanders Fields”, a poem by Canadian Lieutenant Colonel John Mc. Crae- but the custom of wearing a symbolic poppy came from Moina Michael, a YMCA worker who was inspired by the poem and made a personal pledge to wear the red poppy as a sign of remembrance and for “Keeping the faith with all who died”. From Administration Just a friendly reminder that tea/coffee and snacks are for the residents only. Unfortunately we cannot offer or accommodate serving these items to family or visitors.
