Kate Hardaker My magazine is going to be
Kate Hardaker
My magazine is going to be about travel. Loosely based around travelling on a budget. I will publish my magazine quarterly, chosen seasonally. My magazine will cost between £ 5 and £ 10, I will decide along with the final design.
A few examples for my magazine name include: Footprint Mag, Travel Lust, From A to B etc. I decided to go with 5 senses. I feel that my magazine will explore all five senses; Sight, Sound, Taste, Touch and Smell. My title stands for our 5 senses. A few fonts I have in mind include: Verdana, Candara, Arial Black, Lily. UPC etc.
My target audience those who are looking to explore new places, to get away and to discover not just more about different cultures, but more about themselves. My target audience are most likely to have a budget. Age: 18 -27 Gender: All Genders Interests: Travel, Art, History, Culture, Film, Photography etc. These are the types of people who would buy my magazine.
My readers will find my magazine through social media, word of mouth and through browsing magazine stands. My magazine will be advertised on both social media platforms and street advertisement. I will have an Instagram and Twitter account. I will sell my magazine in stores and I will also have a website.
My unique selling point will be my design and my relatability. My design is what will stand out from the rest for the reader to decide to pick it up and draw them in, then the relatability from my experience and personal struggle and strive is what will keep their intrigue and will urge them to buy my magazine.
My magazine is going to cost between £ 5 and £ 10. Ideally £ 9. I have seen a few different travel magazines, and the ones I find are the best quality and are the ones that are worth investing in are the most expensive, starting at £ 8. My website will have an online subscription service in which you will receive the magazine seasonally as and when the magazines come out in store.
My magazine will have the simplicity and intrigue of Suitcase Magazine, the creativity of Esquire Magazine and the sleekness of Behance Magazine.
My interview will be about peoples experiences in different areas of the world. I got the idea from a friend, we were discussing my magazine idea and she came up with this interview idea. My feature article will be on recent tragedies around the world which can effect travel. I saw the Indonesian crisis on the news this week.
I believe my magazine will be a success because it is a popular subject of interest. A lot of people love the idea of traveling, and even if this doesn‘t inspire them to travel, it takes them on a journey through culture like a stamp, they can travel the world all the while staying in place.
