Summer Jobs Pilot Program • The Office of Youth and Families, in partnership with

Summer Jobs Pilot Program • The Office of Youth and Families, in partnership with the Mayor’s Gun Violence Reduction Taskforce and JOB 1, launched a summer job program for 100 system-involved youth • Received 154 referrals from partner agencies including the Welcoming Project, LCCR, Juvenile Court • Focused on youth, ages 14 -21 who have been arrested three times or more in the past 18 months • Youth employed for 5 weeks, 20 hours/week and paid $160/week • Placements at workforce partner sites across the city in New Orleans East, Central City and on the West Bank 3
