WELCOME to JUNIOR HEV SCHOOLS MODEL UNITED KEMERK NATIONS ÖY 2008

What is MUN? It is a system of student conferences: n imitating the real United Nations Organisation; n organised for students and run by students; n held in schools and universities worldwide; n lasting for 1, 2, 3 or more days; n working in English.

You will be a member of a team. Together with eight or nine school friends, your team will represent one of these UN members or observers: The United Kingdom of The. Britain United Islamic The People’s The Great The Republic Kingdom States Republic of and Ireland Belgium of Of America Pakistan of China Northern Ireland The Islamic The The Kingdom The Republic Commonwealth of of Denmark of Rica of. Costa Panama of. Croatia Iran of Australia Which country you represent, is decided before the conference starts. Either you or one of your team-mates will be the AMBASSADOR for this country

What do we do at a conference? In teams, we work in committees and we : n n n research important problems for the country we represent (it is never our own country); ask the United Nations to improve our country and the world; help the UN to help other countries and create a better world for the future.

What are these committees ?
