General Learning Difficulties Keeping in mind that we are working off standard scores, 100 is the average. Mild IQ 50 - 69 Moderate IQ 35 -49 Severe Profound • The Level 2 Junior Cert is for students who have a general learning difficulty and fall into the category of low mild or high moderate. • Many students who have a GLD are very capable of achieving a level 3 Junior Cert. • Level 2 is for students who would otherwise be unable to access the curriculum and experience success. • It is not for the student who is absent or the EAL student.
