July in Paris: The class The main class is called “The History of Paris: City of Kings, Culture, and Light. ” This course will be taught entirely in English and will trace the history and culture of one of the most beautiful cities on Earth: Paris. We will use the city as our classroom as we explore the origins of the city, how it developed through centuries of monarchies, and how it became the international center of art and culture it is today. 4 cr. Satisfies HIST Gen Ed.
July in Paris The class There will also be two optional, 2 credit courses, for working on your French language skills: • A Sample of the French Language in Paris, France. This course gives students who have very little or no prior experience with the French language and is an introductory simple of its basic structure and pronunciation. • Review of the French Language in Paris, France. This course is for students who will have completed Fren 1002 or its equivalent prior to departure. It is a review of verb conjugations, verb tenses, adjective use, relative pronouns, and other structures students previously studied but need to review.
Lodging You will have the extraordinary experience of living with a French host family for one month! – All families are vetted by ISA, an international study abroad program provider. – You will be housed in pairs with someone on our trip. – The host families will help you learn and use your French, and will teach you about French culture. – Breakfasts and 5 meals a week will be provided by the host families.

Excursions • The excursions are all included and are part of the July in Paris classes. Through them, you will learn about French history, culture, and art. • The excursions are an integral part of the class, so it is important to attend them all.

Program fee≈ $5400 (for 15 students).
