What determines the outcomes of your actions? Internal Locus of Control: A belief that outcomes (positive or negative) are brought about by our own behavior. OR External Locus of Control: A belief that outcomes (positive or negative) are under the control of other people, fate, or luck.

Locus of control and selfefficacy It seems that an internal locus of control goes together with a sense of selfefficacy, with the perception that one has a measure of control over one's own life. Possibly even, one could have an internal locus of control in certain areas and not in others.
