JSO ASSEMBLY WELCOME TO OUR ASSEMBLY ABOUT BEING
JSO ASSEMBLY WELCOME TO OUR ASSEMBLY ABOUT BEING SAFE.
WHO ARE WE? • We are your school JSOs. Our names are Phoebe and Imogen. We went to a presentation a few weeks ago on Saturday where we learned about what we need to help you and we also got posters which you may have noticed are put up around school.
WHAT IS A JSO? • Does anyone have any ideas?
A JSO IS SOMEONE WHO WANTS EVERYONE TO BE SAFE AND HAPPY. JSO stands for Junior Safety Officer
WHERE ARE PLACES YOU NEED TO BE SAFE? Where do you think ?
Water
The countryside
The internet
Around the house
The road
Every where
NOTICE BOARD • A notice board is a place where when people want to advertise or sent a message to people they put it up on a notice board. They are also all around town. You may have noticed that we have taken some space on the school’s notice board. • Monthly bulletins are where every month there is a monthly bulletin that we will put on the notice board in school. For example in October {this month} there will most likely be one about being safe on Halloween.
COMPETITIONS!!!!
COMPETITION • Infants. The infant composition is a colouring competition and you can choose between a girl or boy police officer. The best three will get a prize. We also have a school competition that will just be for fun. It is a traffic sign sheet where you have to fill out what each of the traffic signs are. For example what is this one ? Slippery road • Juniors. Before I tell you the juniors competition you must know this first. We are starting a club that every Friday will go around boxes that we’ll put around school. These boxes may contain letters of people’s worries and the club will write advice and nice messages back to them. The junior competisition is campaign posters and a sign up sheet {separate or together} and the best will be photo copied and put around school. Best three will get a prize and the winner will have the poster{s} around school.
