Trainers Programs Supported: • Gray Eagle - accredited • Shadow NGB - accredited • Shadow Aussie - accredited • Hunter - accredited • Warrior A - accredited • • • Shadow USMC - accredited Navy Blackjack (STUAS) Shadow MUMT with AVCATT MQ-9 Reaper – AFSOC MJAT Global Hawk – Sensor Operator PTT ISR – Goodfellow AFB Common software, common processes 13
The JSIL Trainer Advantage • • All Army Trainers accredited Code re-used Terrain & models developed in-house Scenarios developed in-house
High-fidelity airfields (for taxi / takeoff / landing)
Emulators • Complete hardware, software, network, operational equivalent to the Production Shelter • Identical information assurance posture and boundaries • Embedded Trainer for UAS simulation support • Could be augmented with Cert Center integration and test tools for development Developmental HW/SW risk reduction 16
USAF MJAT Provides AFSOC a rapid training solution for MQ-9 Reaper that is DMO-capable allowing for distributed connectivity to major exercises. Global Hawk SO PTT The success of MJAT led the GH team to fund the JSIL for the delivery of a Sensor Operator Proficiency Task Trainer. 17
Air Force Reaper MQ-9 Trainer • Plug-and-play – Government-owned, non-proprietary – Converts ground station (cockpit) to simulator in 10 minutes • Fielded AFSOC variant in 5 months – Leveraged Army design & joint databases – 85% reduction in cost/schedule • Rapid response to new requirements and emerging threats – Initial capability in 14 days – OCONUS airfield database in 1 week • • Pilots train ahead of new software on any airfield “Train like they fight” First ACC Install/Training at 556 th TES & 26 WPS in Feb ‘ 16 Currently fielding 2404 variant across the AFSOC fleet 18
Emerald Warrior 2015 • First ever participation of an AFSOC MQ-9 in a virtual exercise • Provided SOF RPA the ability for dissimilar training opportunities • Flew four virtual DMO missions totaling 12. 5 hours – Pushed FMV to other participants – Expending six AGM-114 Hellfires resulting in 3 x tanks and 2 x APCs destroyed – 100% success on all four missions • “This is game changing technology that will benefit the entire RPA Enterprise. ” 19
