Pathshala Overview • • Running Since 1993 This is our 20 th year!!! Jainism classes are divided by age group starting from 3 -4 year through 14 year old students. One on One Sutra Class. Regular Adult Swadhyay One Gujarati Language class Teaches Jain principles and Sutras

Pathshala Year 2012 -2013 • We had 92 Students Registered this year. • Number

Pathshala Year 2012 -2013 • We had 92 Students Registered this year. • Number of Jainism Teacher are: 26 • Number of Language Teacher: 2 • Pathshala classes were held 1 st and 3 rd Sunday from Sep 9 th 2012 till May 12 th 2013 excluding Holidays (No Summer Classes) • Number of working Pathshala Classes: 7 • Annual Registration Fee: $100 first child, $75 for each sibling. • No Parents are allowed to sit in classes except for 3 -4 year old. • Attendance on average 70 -80%.

Prizes awarded for top scoring students • Food donation drive lead by 11 -14 year old students • Annual Cultural Program by all Pathshala students • Pathshala Graduation

Pathshala Guidelines & Rules 1. All applications are reviewed by Pathshala coordinator and are assigned to a particular class by age criteria. Students are not allowed to switch classes. 2. Punctuality is important. Students should come 10: 00 a. m. for the Darshan and/or Puja prior to going to their classes. 3. Language class is for Regular Jainism class students only and no extra charge. 4. Students must attend the Pathshala to attend language class each time. 5. All students must take Sutra and attend Sutra class during their class time. 6. The student will be cooperative with everyone and show respect to each student regardless of age. 7. The students must respect the right of others and should not use loud voices. Classes are not allowed to be disturbed when in session. 8. Chewing gum, eating candy or drinking or use of cellphone (texting) is not allowed during class. 9. The teacher may insist on proper sitting manners and behavior during class.
