Home Learning • As a school we have chosen to study the book ‘Journey’

Home Learning • As a school we have chosen to study the book ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker. This is a picture book with no words, and it provides opportunity to discuss the pictures and ask your child some questions. • This Powerpoint provides activities based around the book, the children in school will be completing these activities. • You could order a copy of the story from Amazon or watch a video of the story on Youtube. What does this mean? • Discuss: How we can travel e. g. by bus, by plane, walking etc. • Discuss: Where we could travel to e. g. the beach, the shops etc. • Use some of the furniture in your house to make a mode of transport and pretend you are going on a Journey. • Front cover on the next slide. .

The jungle, candy land, a haunted house? • Discuss this and then draw a picture, adult to annotate with a sentence to show what you have drawn.
