1. Синтаксическая неоднозначность: история • Универсалистский подход в 1970 х гг. : языки, сильно отличаясь друг от друга лексически и морфологически, используют один и тот же синтаксический анализатор. • Принцип позднего закрытия (Late Closure of the Garden-Path theory of sentence processing): new items should be attached into the clause (or phrase) that is currently being processed. Frazier L. & Fodor J. D. 1978. The sausage machine: A new two-stage parsing model // Cognition 6 Someone shot the servant of the actress that was on the balcony. • Cuetos F. & Mitchell D. C. 1988. Cross-linguistic differences in parsing: Restrictions on the use of the Late Closure strategy in Spanish // Cognition 30 Alguien disparó contra la criada de la actriz que estaba en el balcón.

1. Синтаксическая неоднозначность: сейчас • Разные языки Раннее закрытие: африкаанс, польский, хорватский, нидерландский, французский, немецкий, итальянский, испанский, португальский, греческий, японский, русский Позднее закрытие: норвежский, арабский, английский, шведский, румынский, баскский, китайский • Универсальность процессора • Exposure-Based accounts (some of syntactic processing strategies are language-specific): The Modifier Straddling Hypothesis (Cuetos & Mitchell 1988), the Recency/Predicate Proximity Model (Gibson & Pearlmutter 1994), the Tuning Hypothesis (Mitchell et al. 1995). • Universalist accounts (the differences between languages lie outside the parser, in language-specific aspects of the grammar): the Predicate Proximity Theory (Gibson et al. 1996), the Construal Hypothesis (Frazier & Clifton 1997), the Implicit Prosody Hypothesis (Fodor 2002).

1. Синтаксическая неоднозначность: сейчас Разные методы • off-line method: paper-and-pencil questionnaires • on-line methods: self-paced reading and eye-tracking Русский язык • (Sekerina 2003) – опросник, предпочтение раннего закрытия • (Fedorova et al. 2004– 2008) – опросники, предпочтения раннего закрытия или без предпочтения • (Chernova & Chernigovskaya 2015, 2016) – опросники, self-paced and eye-tracking experiments, предпочтение раннего закрытия • (Latanov, Anisimov, Fedorova, Sekerina in prep. for Memory & Cognition) – eye-tracking experiments, более сложная картина

2. Синтаксический прайминг • Исследование в основном порождения речи (production) • Эффект имплицитной памяти человека • Синтаксический прайминг – тенденция говорящего повторять синтаксическую конструкцию высказывания, произнесенного незадолго до этого. • Первый эксперимент: Bock K. Syntactic persistence in language production // Cognitive Psychology 1986, 18, 355– 387 • New Approaches to Structural Priming // Journal of Memory and Language 2016, 91, 1– 218 • Scheepers C. , Raffray C. , Myachykov A. The lexical boost effect is not diagnostic of lexically-specific syntactic representations // Journal of Memory and Language 2017, 95, 102– 115
