Flood in Thanh Hoa Most affected 6 districts: Ø Buoi river: Thach Thanh, Vinh Loc districts Ø Ma river: Ha Trung, Hoang Hoa, Thieu Hoa, Nga Son districts The total damage estimated is 1, 000 billions VND (equivalent to US$ 62, 173, 588). Thach Thanh and Vinh Loc are most serious and need emergency support
Damage in Thach Thanh Flooded Communes: Flooded Villages: 22/28 104/230 Total affected population: 13, 183 households (56, 120 people) People death: Houses collapsed: 4 360 Most affected communes: 7 (Thach Dinh, Thach Lam, Thanh Kim, Thanh Hung, Thanh Truc, Thanh My, and Kim Tan Town) Total loss estimated: 440, 165 millions VND (equivalent to 27. 366 mills USD)
Damage in Vinh Loc Flooded Communes: 15/16 Flooded Villages: Total affected population: 10, 452 households (29, 540 people) People death: 5 Houses collapsed: 131 Most affected communes: 9 (Vinh Hoa, Vinh Quang, Vinh Long, Vinh 64 Yen, Vinh Phuc, Vinh Hoa, Vinh Minh, Vinh Hung and Vinh Khang) Total loss estimated: 45, 784 millions VND (equivalent to 2. 846 mills USD)
Urgent Needs (within 1 -2 months) 1. For survival of people Ø Food: 1, 993 tons in Thach Thanh, 856 tons in Vinh Loc = 2, 849 tons Ø Medicine: first aid pack for every of at lest 23, 500 households Ø Blankets and mosquito nets : for 23, 500 households 2. For re-starting school Ø Books, Primary TT 4, 600+ VL 2, 900 Ø Books, Basic secondary: TT 5, 447, +VL 2, 731 Ø student kits for children (bag, pen, ruler…): 3. = 7, 500 sets = 8, 178 sets =17, 078 sets For re-planting winter crop Ø Seeds: TT+VL for 1, 500 ha of corn 300 ha potatoes 4, 000 kg of vegetable seeds
