Student Member Eligibility Requirements SHRM Student Membership Benefits • Enrolled in an HR or related degree program Effective August 1, 2011 > (e. g. , HRM, HRD, Business Administration & Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Labor Relations, MBA/HR, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Sociology) • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester, or during a 15 -week equivalency • Limited to a maximum of 6 years, non-consecutive • Agree to a statement of affirmation (in lieu of submitting copies of course schedules as proof of enrollment) • Students who are in established, professional roles would retain their current SHRM membership status. Existing professional members would not be eligible to transfer to a student membership. ©SHRM 2012 8
