AIR TRAVEL • Pilot- a person who flies a plane
AIR TRAVEL • Flight attendant- a person who gives instructions to passengers and serves food and drinks on the plane.
AIR TRAVEL • Ground steward/ ground stewardess (ground attendant, ground staff/ crew, passenger service agent) helps passengers at the airport, checks in baggage, verifies passenger information, books and sells flights
AIR TRAVEL • Baggage handler- a person who takes bags on and off planes
TRAVELLING BY RAIL • Guard (UK)– a person who helps passengers get on and off a train, and who checks tickets • Conductor (USA)- a person who sells tickets on a train or a bus
TRAVELLING BY SHIP • Captain is a person in charge of a ship. He makes sure the ship sails safely.
TRAVELLING BY SHIP • Crew-all the people working on a ship or a plane
TRAVELLING BY SHIP • Purser-an officer on a ship whose job is to handle financial matters for the passengers and crew and to make sure passengers are comfortable and have what they need. Pursers buy all the food on the shore, take care of payrolls and organise activities for guests.
Theme parks • Amusement and recreation attendant works in a theme park, helps visitors fasten their seat belts and have a safe ride, sells and verifies tickets, sells refreshments
Game parks/reserves • Warden- a person in charge of a game park (natural reserve)
Hotels • Hotel animator encourages guests` participation in activities, organises daytime and evening activities and events, sings and dances in shows
Hotel • Pool lifeguard makes sure all the guests are safe in the pool and responds to emergency situations quickly.
