THE WORK PEOPLE DO When Jesus was on earth, His job was the mission that His Father gave Him. Jesus had to tell everyone the Good News which was that God loves us and wants us to love each other in the same way. • Think of the people who are important in your life. • What is the work (Mission) that they do? • Think of Mum and Dad and how you can help them with their work?

JESUS APPEARS TO HIS DISCIPLES A TIME TO READ John 20: 19 – 22 The disciples were afraid of the Jewish leaders, and on the evening of that same Sunday, they locked themselves in a room. Suddenly Jesus appeared in the middle of the group. He greeted them and showed them His hands and His side. When the disciples saw the Lord, they became very happy. After Jesus greeted them again, he said, “I am sending you, just as the Father has sent Me” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they will be forgiven. But if you don’t forgive their sins, they won’t be forgiven. ”

TIME TO THINK AND WRITE • In your journal, write or draw 5 different ways Jesus carried out the work of His Father. • Beneath the first list, write or draw 5 different ways you can carry out the work of Jesus.

POSTER WORK On a fresh page in your journal, make a poster of the words: Jesus said, "I am sending you, just as the Father has sent me. ” (John 20: 21)

A TIME TO PRAY Let us begin prayer with the Sign of the Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Peace Prayer Go now in peace to love and serve the Lord. Go now in peace and follow in His way.
