When? Jesus has just been to Capernaum where He healed the Centurion’s daughter. He

Where? The Sea of Galilee & “The region of the Gadarenes” Notes: • Capernaum

The Sea of Galilee & “The region of the Gadarenes” Notes: • Capernaum was a predominantly Jewish city and is where Jesus was just prior to crossing the Sea of Galilee • Gadara & Gerasa were in a gentile region. A hint to this is the swine mentioned in the account • Crossing the Jordan most likely means crossing from Jewish into a Gentile or Pagan region.

Why? To show that He is God To show us that He is able

How do we apply this? Acknowledge Him as God. Don’t be anxious…He is able

How do we apply this? Acknowledge Him as God. Don’t be anxious…He is able to overcome ANYTHING. Remember that we must have faith. Only by His power are we able to overcome, so we must have faith in Him. We can be reassured in temptation. We can ask Him to help us through our temptation. This means we have even less of an excuse to sin.
