Jesucristo est en el corazn de cada persona

Jesucristo está en el corazón de cada persona que escucha la llamada y responde. Lo encontramos en medio de nosotros, en nuestras comunidades. Llenos de su amor experimentamos un ardiente deseo que nos une en la pasión por servir y proclamar el Reino de Dios. Hemos escuchado esta llamada a la santidad. Como respondió San Marcelino, también nosotros seguimos a Cristo como María. Nos ha conquistado la poderosa imagen de María alumbrando a Jesús, que nos impulsa, también a nosotros, a dar a luz a Jesús con ternura maternal. Jesus is in the heart of each individual who feels the call and responds. We find Him among us in our communities. Filled with His love we have a burning desire that unites us with a passion to serve and proclaim the Kingdom. We have all heard this call to holiness. Just as St. Marcellin responded to this call, we too follow Christ as Mary did. We have been captured by the powerful image of Mary bringing Jesus to life, calling us also to bring Jesus to life with motherly tenderness.

En cada uno de nosotros están los ojos y los oídos, los pies y las manos, el corazón de Jesús. Lo contemplamos en los ojos de los niños, en los rostros de los jóvenes a quienes atendemos en nuestras obras educativas y sociales y escuchamos su voz en el grito de quienes aún no hemos encontrado Con Jesús en el centro de nuestro sueño y con la imagen de Champagnat sosteniendo a Juan Bautista Montagne, imaginamos un futuro que integra los siguientes cinco elementos: Within us are the eyes and ears, the feet and hands, the heart of Jesus. We see Him in the eyes of children, in the faces of the young people we are caring for in our educational and social works and we hear his voice in the cry of those whom we are yet to meet. With Jesus at the centre of our dream and with the image of Champagnat holding Jean Baptiste Montagne, we imagine a future integrating the following five elements:

1 - UNA REVOLUCIÓN DEL CORAZÓN: ABRIÉNDONOS AL SOPLO DEL ESPÍRITU 1 - REVOLUTION OF THE HEART – OPEN TO THE BREATH OF THE SPIRIT Como maristas somos llamados a centrar apasionadamente nuestras vidas en Jesucristo, desarrollando una espiritualidad de seguimiento. Inspirados por María, hacemos de la convivencia con los niños y jóvenes el lugar privilegiado para nuestro encuentro con Dios. As Marists, we are called to passionately centre our lives on Jesus Christ, developing a spirituality of discipleship. Inspired by Mary, we encounter God in that privileged space where we live our lives with children and young people.

1 - UNA REVOLUCIÓN DEL CORAZÓN: ABRIÉNDONOS AL SOPLO DEL ESPÍRITU Apóstoles del siglo XXI realizamos nuestra misión en nuevos areópagos. Nuestras obras educativas, sociales y comunidades de inserción son espacios sagrados para la conversión. Junto a los niños y jóvenes oímos sus necesidades atendiendo la llamada de Dios. Nos sentimos interpelados a centrar nuestra espiritualidad en una acción evangelizadora, liberadora y profética, respetando las diferentes culturas. 1 - UNA REVOLUCIÓN DEL CORAZÓN: ABRIÉNDONOS AL SOPLO DEL ESPÍRITU As apostles of the 21 st century, we are always searching for new ways to achieve our mission. Our educational and social ministries, and insertion communities are all sacred spaces for conversion. Joined with children and young people, we hear the call of God, and through this we come to know their needs. We are challenged to centre our spirituality in evangelizing, liberating and prophetic action being sure to respect our different cultures.

2 - MARISTAS DE CHAMPAGNAT EN MISIÓN COMPARTIDA 2 - CHAMPAGNAT MARISTS IN PARTNERSHIP Como maristas de Champagnat, creemos que Dios nos está llamando ahora a compartir vida y misión, en corresponsabilidad, hombres y mujeres, con un espíritu de confianza, comprensión y respeto mutuo. As Champagnat Marists, we believe that God is calling us now to be partners, men and women, coresponsible for furthering the mission in a spirit of trust, understanding and mutual respect.

3 - PRESENCIA MARISTA EN LA EVANGELIZACIÓN 3 - MARIST PRESENCE IN EVANGELISATION Como hermanos, laicas y laicos maristas en comunión, afirmamos que la evangelización es el centro y la prioridad de nuestras acciones apostólicas, proclamando a Jesucristo y su mensaje. As Marist Brothers and Lay Marists in partnership we affirm that evangelization is the focus and priority of our ministries. Each ministry proclaims Jesus and his message.

4 - EDUCACIÓN MARISTA: NUEVOS DESAFÍOS 4 - MARIST EDUCATION: NEW CHALLENGES Reconocemos en el documento “Misión educativa marista” un marco de referencia necesario en nuestra tarea educativa, y agradecemos la entrega de tantas personas a través de la historia marista que nos inspira a responder a las necesidades de los niños y jóvenes de hoy en fidelidad creativa a las llamadas de Dios. We recognize “In the Footsteps of Marcellin Champagnat” as a referential document, necessary to our educational mission. We are grateful for the dedication of all those who have worked as Marists throughout our history. Their testimony inspires us to respond to the needs of children and young people with creative fidelity to the call of God.

4 - EDUCACIÓN MARISTA: NUEVOS DESAFÍOS 4 - MARIST EDUCATION: NEW CHALLENGES En este momento queremos enfatizar de manera particular el derecho a la educación: una educación evangelizadora, una educación comprometida con la solidaridad y la transformación social, atenta a las culturas y al respeto del medio ambiente, y una educación sin discriminación que crea espacios para aquellos que carecen de ella. At this moment we want to emphasize particularly the right to education: an education that evangelizes, an education committed to solidarity and to social transformation, respectful of cultures and of environment, and a nondiscriminatory education that creates a place for those who do not have it.

5 - DEFENSA Y PROMOCION DE 5 - ADVOCACY FOR THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG LOS DERECHOS DE LOS NIÑOS Y JÓVENES: DAR LA PALABRA A LOS PEOPLE: EMPOWERING THE VOICELESS SIN VOZ Creemos que Dios nos está llamando a ser una voz fuerte, decidida y profética para la defensa y promoción de los derechos de los niños y los jóvenes. We believe that God is calling us to be a strong and prophetic voice for the defense and promotion of the rights of children and young people.
