From pre-production to production • Pre-production: • 4 JEMs, 16 input modules, 4 G-link modules • Yield : ~75 %, re-work and insufficient cleaning thereafter • Tests concluded in first week of September • Production: • 41 JEMs, 160 input modules, 41 G-link modules, 45 control modules • Modifications wrt pre-production modules: • JEM - minor modifications : silk screen, pads for CLKdes 2 terminators (due to insufficient drive strength of on-TTCdec PLL), reduce bypass capacitance on 3. 3 V supply (now 17*68µF) due to crate supply oscillations • G-link and input modules: no modifications Uli Schäfer 3

Module production, so far… • September 12: pushed the button for production • 3 rd week of October: “Module production will take until Nov. 24” (JEM main boards), but no problems reported. • October 27: “input module PCBs have been manufactured with more than 20 % impedance error” need another production run (require 10% tolerance) • October 30: PCB production JEMs and input moules (re-) started • November 6: Production of input modules hasn’t actually been started yet. No information on main boards so far. Delivery of input modules will be last week of November • November 8: • Control and G-link modules will be ready early next week. • JEM PCBs have been made. 33 out of 41 are usable and will be assembled immediately. Remaining ones will be manufactured and assembled at a later date • Input module PCBs due Nov. 17, will try and have assembly done by last week in November Uli Schäfer 4
