Lessons Learned / Best Practices Things to Keep in Mind on Projects Utilizing OVR Implementations • Start the communication and training early and review it multiple times ü Allows users to see the value and start to learn the new tools • Leverage E 1 Pages to provide access and Advanced Queries to identify data sets, for OVR • Identify a group of super users who will become adept at creating new OVR reports ü Ensure a cross section by functional area ü These users can train their peers as needs come up in the future • Leverage OVR on standard applications, as well as the OVR apps • Utilize OVR to eliminate customizations – added fields on forms, new apps to display data, etc… • Identify Advanced Queries, Watchlists and OVR reports that are useful to multiple employees …. . and publish them • Leverage the standard OVR reports to create new ones specific to your needs ü Don’t recreate the wheel ü Each OVR app has multiple reports – if they aren't exactly what you need, create a copy and modify as needed JD Edwards 23
