NBA BASKETBALL SCHOOL At Stryx Sports, we pride ourselves on giving players the opportunity to receive professional training based on the NBA Basketball Curriculum. The tuition-based basketball development programme trains players the ”NBA-way” to develop their basketball talent. NBA Basketball School launched full time in September 2019 providing training for boys and girls between 6 – 18 years old. The sessions are conducted in a safe, fun and encouraging environment which covers all aspects of the game by incorporating tactic, skill, small games and team building activities as well as NBA methodologies. As part of the NBA family, there is an opportunity for players between 12 – 14 years old (exact DOB will be announced closer to the time of selection) to be nominated to attend the Jr. NBA Global Championships training camp. Dubai Tigers The Dubai Tigers Rugby Club established themselves back in 2013. Still in its infancy compared to other local rugby clubs, the Tigers have gone from strength to strength, starting with a small mini/junior section of 40 players to now having over 300 playing members across its youth section, women’s & men’s rugby teams. Founded by Shane Thornton, who still to this day continues to lead the club to success in the UAE Conference with back to back Championship wins in 2017/18 and 2018/19 rugby seasons.
