Jetpack James Bond used the jetpack in ‘Thunderball’ from 1965. James Bond is played by Sean Connery. Fact: The jetpack is also used in ‘Die another day’ (2002). Bond turns it on, but does not properly use it. This is in Q’s lab.

Cigarette In ‘You only live twice’, with Sean Connery, James Bond uses a cigarette as a wapon. The cigarette case can hold 50 bullets. Fact: James Bond usually smokes more than 60 cigarettes a day. Therefor this gadget won’t make people suspicious. The film is from 1967, it’s been a long time ago when they thought of the cigarette-weapon.
Flying Car The spectaculair flying car from ‘Man with the golden gun’ is a Taylor Aerocar III, it could actually fly. The Aerocar is being used by James himself, played by Roger Moore.
Watch The watch is used in ‘The spy who loved me’, Bond is played by Roger Moore. A Digital watch in 1977 was special. When Bond would get a message the watch would print it out for him.

Underwater car The car is based on the Lotus Esprit and is used in ‘The spy who loved me’. Fact: Tech billionaire and Hyperloop creater pays nearly $1 m for this iconic vehicle wit plans to make its movie transformation into reality. The underwater car is named Wet Nellie after Nellie Wallace, who was one of the most famous and best loved music hall performers.
Development The Bond films have a lot of exotic and spectacular gadgets, which appear to be really useful in times of need. The Bond books have a lot less gadgets than the films. It seemed that the gadgets were such a big succes, so they decided to add more and more gadgets to the Bond films.
Flying along with time As the viewers increased, the gadgets increased aswell. The gadgets became more important as the time flew by. As the world became more digital so did Bond The scenes in Q’s lab, where he would show Bond all the new equipments they had, would be the most populair. Alongside with the scenes where Bond would use them.
Influence on the future The underwater car and all the other imposibble, but spectacular, gadgets of Bond make you think. . . Maybe there already is an underwater car somewhere. Also there already exists a real laser watch. It could be possible that scientists are already building the underwater car. Also there already exists a real laser watch, after it was invented in the Bond movies. The future is nearer than we think.
A change One of the biggest changes, that also involve the gadgets, is that Q went from an old man to a fine young man. The first three actors who played Q in the famous Bond films were a lot older if you look at Q in the last movie (Spectre). Why this sudden change? You might wonder. Well, as the films move along with time, so do the Bond films and the casting of the Bond films.
