Great American Hero It was because of Jackie Robinson that whites and blacks can play professional sports in America. He led the Dodgers to 6 World Series and one World Series Championship. After he retired, he became the first black vice president of a big American corporation. Today, they have created a movie called, “ 42” that tells all about the life he led.
