IXL Accessibility Purchased by district or individual school All teachers and students are added into the program Teachers are given a login and under those logins you assign your personal class Each student then receives their own login information Completely private Under each class and subject the teacher assigns a standard(s) Here is where differentiation is easily available Teachers can assign a 3 rd grader either the 2 nd grade or 4 th grade version of the standard to allow of extra support or enrichment

How It is Used in the Classroom During Focus Time 30 minutes a day set aside for re-teaching and enrichment I assign the class the standards that go along with our weekly lesson plans I can pull aside individual or a group of students to re-teach using IXL, manipulatives or other material(s). I can go down a grade for more breakdown of instruction on the standard Sometimes that is all they need, is the lower grade because it has less reading and is a lower level reading Here students who do understand the lesson can continue working on the IXL standards, I can also move them up a grade for more in-depth versions of the standards
