Ivanka Trump defends use of private email

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter and a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, defended

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter and a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, defended her use of a private email account while transitioning to an administration job in the White House in an exclusive interview on Tuesday. She was speaking with ABC News in Wilder, Idaho (where she's promoting STEM initiatives alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook). Ivanka Trump maintained that all of the emails on her private account were properly archived and contained no classified information. The Washington Post first reported earlier this month that the president's daughter had used a personal email account to conduct official government business. The president has defended his daughter's private email use, telling reporters last week that he looked at the matter and concluded that “they're all in presidential records. ” Last week, Democrats on Capitol Hill wrote that they "want to know if Ivanka complied with the law" and in the next Congress plan to continue their investigation of the Presidential Records Act and Federal Records Act.

In Other News n n A video released by the US Forest Service shows the moment when a gender reveal party in Arizona went horribly wrong, sparking a wildfire that burned nearly 47, 000 acres and caused more than $8 million in damage. Shot on April 23, 2017, the clip shows a makeshift target with the words "Boy" and "Girl" written on it, placed in the middle of the desert near Green Valley, Arizona, south of Tucson. The target was supposed to burst pink or blue to reveal to attendees if they were expecting a boy or a girl. Seconds later on the video you hear a gunshot, and the target explodes, revealing a blue cloud and immediately igniting the surrounding brush. The flames spread to the nearby Coronado National Forest, where they became the Sawmill Fire and burned 46, 991 acres owned by the state of Arizona. The expectant father who shot the target, off-duty US Border Patrol agent Dennis Dickey, pleaded guilty in September of this year to a misdemeanor violation of US Forest Service regulations and was sentenced to five years' probation. He also was ordered to pay $8, 188, 069 in restitution, starting with an initial payment of $100, 000 and monthly payments thereafter. Tiger Woods, the former world No. 1, who returned to action following a long period of career-threatening back injuries, completed an impressive comeback year with an emotional victory at the season-ending Tour Championship. With that noted, Phil Mickelson beat Tiger in "The Match" and winning $9 million by sinking in a 5 -foot birdie on the 22 nd hole (a playoff hole) after the pair was all square following 18 regulation holes at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas this past weekend.
